G.R.A.M.S Styling makes carbon fibre and fiberglass aero parts for Japanese and European performance cars: splitters, diffusers, fenders, spoilers. Every part is laid by hand, to order, in two workshops, one near London and one in Lithuania, and sold direct to drivers across the UK, Europe and the United States. A niche brand with a loyal following and a catalogue most generic shops cannot model.
For more than ten years the shop has run on WordPress and WooCommerce. It did its job. But every new need was solved with another plugin, and over the years the shop became slow to change, slow to load and expensive to keep healthy. The owner wants to scale: two workshops shipping from two countries, three currencies, marketplace orders, more languages, more content. That is not what a plugin stack is for.
We are moving the shop to a headless platform. The new site is built, loaded with the real catalogue, customers and order history, and runs behind Cloudflare Access while the owner checks every page before launch.
Our rule: respect the brand
A rebuild is not a redesign. The customers know this shop, so the brief we gave ourselves was simple:
- Same products, same finishes, same prices, same policies, word for word.
- Every customer keeps their account and their password. Nobody has to reset anything.
- Every old URL keeps working: products, categories, tag pages, content pages, and the old domain, redirected permanently to the right new page.
- The owner's vocabulary wins. Where the old shop had accumulated dozens of spellings of the same finish, we agreed one list with the workshops and applied it product by product.
What the new shop does for the business
- One place to run the business. Products, orders, customers, workshop production, marketplace orders and shipping labels live in one admin instead of a shop plus a handful of separate tools.
- Checkout the customers already know: the same payment methods, weight-based delivery prices per country, pick-up at the workshops, optional fitting kits and accessories added in one click.
- A production board per workshop. Each paid order becomes a card, moves through the steps the workshop actually follows, and leaves with a tracking number sent to the customer automatically.
- Live courier quotes on every order, with one-click booking and labels, so the workshops ship at the best price without leaving the admin.
- An AI shop assistant that understands "BMW E46 coupe, rear diffuser" and answers with the right part, options preselected.
- Ready for several languages and three currencies, with exchange rates and delivery prices maintained from one screen.
What it brings
- Speed. Pages are rendered once and served from Cloudflare's network close to every visitor, instead of a PHP server rebuilding each page.
- Reliability the shop never had: hourly backups copied off-site, a tested restore, error alerts, uptime monitoring.
- Lower running cost and less maintenance: a small server for the commerce engine, the rest on Cloudflare, no plugin updates to babysit.
- Search and AI visibility built in from day one, covered in a separate article.
Why we build shops this way
This is what Aiteklabs does for businesses that have outgrown their first platform: move them to a stack that is global by design, fast everywhere, and targeted by market. Pages are served from Cloudflare's network in every country, each market gets its own URL, currency, delivery rules and language, and the whole thing runs on open-source software the business owns. The result is the quality and reach of a Shopify-class store without the fee on every sale, the per-market app bills or the subscription that grows with revenue. A small server and a Cloudflare account carry it.
The storefront launches on gramsstyling.com in the coming weeks, with the old domain redirecting path for path. We will update this article with the first traffic and conversion numbers once the switch is done.
